What temperatures can Clarywound cartridges handle?

It depends on the media and core combination: PP on PP core to 80 C, cotton on stainless core to 120 C, polyester on stainless to 121 C, BICO to 130 C, nylon on stainless to 140 C, and glass fiber on stainless core to 350 C. Matching media and core to your stream temperature is part of our specification service.

Why does in-house yarn manufacturing matter?

Because the yarn decides the filter. Gopani spins its own yarn, which controls fibre quality, density gradient, and cleanliness before winding even begins. There are no resin binders, lubricants, antistatic agents, or release agents in the cartridge, and the honeycomb pattern is wound on CNC machines for repeatable pore structure from the first cartridge to the ten-thousandth.

What micron ratings and sizes are available?

Standard ratings run 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 50, 75, 100, and 150 micron with custom ratings on request. Lengths from 5 to 70 inch, standard 2.5 inch outer diameter, 4.5 inch big-blue format available, with PP, stainless 304/316, ABS, or glass-filled PP cores. Change-out differential pressure is 2.5 bar at 21 C.

When should I pick string wound over melt blown?

Pick string wound when the stream is hot, chemically aggressive, or heavily loaded with solids: electroplating baths, condensate polishing, textile dyeing, chemical processing. True depth construction holds 3 to 5 times more dirt than surface filters. For ambient RO pretreatment at high volumes, melt blown usually wins on economics; we will tell you honestly which one your numbers favour.
